Daisy MacGowan is a children’s illustrator living and working in Dundee, Scotland. She grew up in Ireland where she studied a PLC in Graphic Design and Illustration at Marino College of Further Education, Dublin, graduating in 2010.
Daisy prefers to work in collage, gouache, acrylic, watercolour and ink on paper. Her work is inspired by nature and the world around her with a focus on loose expressive forms and taking direction from the natural forms created by the paint and water. Her artistic influences include Japanese brush painting, Jozef Wilkon and Quentin Blake. Daisy is currently working on a number of new projects drawing on Scottish and Irish culture for inspiration.
